Dank je wel Joke! Zeeland is heel mooi. Het lijkt wat betreft het landschap wel wat op het noorden, net zo leeg ook. Maar er is altijd wel een dijk in het zicht en daarachter water. Dat dóet iets met het licht en daarmee de sfeer.
Zeeland – Zierikzee bezoek meer dan waard. Je hebt het zilte zeeland gevoel mooi vastgelegd. Foto 2-2 en 2-3 geweldig, vooral de meeuw die op het juiste moment passeert.
Dank je wel Elsje! Op Zierikzee ben ik een beetje verliefd geworden, prachtig stadje. Ja en die meeuw. Het heeft me een kleine week africhten gekost voor-ie precies deed wat ik van hem verlangde, maar dan heb je ook wat. 🙂 Nee grapje, je moet soms (vaak?) een beetje geluk hebben.

Thank you! Zeeland is in the very south-west of the Netherlands and not often visited by me (northener). Although landscape wise there are quite some simularities, the vincinity of the (in many cases former) sea makes all the difference. 🙂

It looks beautiful, but a bit cool on the coast by the looks of the clothing worn. Very similar to our Northern California summers! I LOVE the architecture there! Thank you for the arm chair tour!

In fact is was rather hot for our standards, but sea wind always freshens things up. 🙂 I understood that northen California has quite a different climate then the southern part of the state. There are some miles between them of course 🙂 Even in my tiny country we have some degrees difference between north and south. Zealand was an important part of the Netherlands in the economical heydays, the 17the century, in our history called ‘the golden century’. Being a seafaring nation we had our tentacles all over the globe. That is why Zealands old cities still have wonderful rich architecture, not unlike Amsterdam, Leiden, Delft, Haarlem and the like, the other top dogs of that time (and, now including Rotterdam, still!)
Summer in Zealand… that actually is a song (in Dutch: Zomer in Zeeland, by Saskia en Serge 🙂 ) It’s a great place to be, the light, the water and the wide fields with wheat and potatoes. I liked it a lot.
